This in-person organizer training program is open to people who identify as part of the Indigenous, Black and People of Colour Communities in the West Kootenays. It will take place in the Neighbours United Office in Downtown Castlegar on Saturday, June 24 and Sunday, June 25 from 9am-5pm. Run by BIPOC organizers for BIPOC organizers.
5 spots are eligible for a $500 scholarship to provide a living wage for you to attend this workshop. Another $500 is available for participants who complete this workshop to start organizing your community’s priorities in the clean energy transition in your town. A BIPOC committee will review applications, and applicants will be notified of the committee’s decision of their application status by May 5. Successful applicants will be contacted to arrange scholarship details, and needs for the two-day workshop.
