Congratulations to the winners of the 2017 EcoSociety Solar Raffle!

On December 13th at 7:00 pm we had the pleasure of drawing the following eight winners.

Grand Prize: a solar set-up (1000 watts of solar panels with racking and a 5000 watt inverter from Mesla Energy) with installation by Wynndel Electric valued at $5,600 – Julia Roberts

Julia is a resident of Nelson, BC and active with the Nelson Interfaith Climate Action Collaborative. Her church, St. Saviour’s Anglican Pro-Cathedral, has joined with four other faith communities in the Nelson area to work to reduce GHGs from their buildings to zero by 2035!  In addition, Julia is leading a Green Buildings Pilot Project for Anglican Churches in the Okanagan and Kootenays.  She has had a solar hot water system on her house, since 2009  and looks forward to learning about photovoltaics with her amazing prize.

Congratulations, Julia. We can’t wait to see what comes next!
