I am sure I am not alone when I confess my true feelings about freshly baked bread from a vendor sans pareil. It’s a weakness, some may even say. Whatever it is, I am sure that Raymond has exceptional taste not only in food, but in non-profit organisations as well.

“My name is Raymond Gariepy, owner of the French Bakery in Nelson.
I believe in biodiversity and the respect of life in all its manifestation.
The Ecosociety as an organisation is striving to do just that and its mandate resonates with my belief system.
So for me, it  makes sense to be a member of this proactive organisation. My history with this region spans over 35 years. I was away for 12 years but came back because people do stand up and we have won battles for conservancy in this region and continue to do so.
I would like to add that my Bakery is benefiting from all the effort that the Ecosociety did to establish outdoor markets and events that helps the economy locally.
My business is better for it when I have to weather the winter months.
I’m grateful to be able to be part of this community.
Keep up the good work Ecosociety! I’m proud to be a member of your organisation.”
