The Deconstructing Dinner Film Festival returns with 12 documentary films over 5 days at 5 venues. The schedule for 2016 is spread out between October 26 and November 12 – making it much easier for lovers of good food and drink to attend more events.

October 26 at the Civic Theatre is RACING EXTINCTION – from the Academy Award winning filmmakers of The Cove. Spanning the globe to infiltrate the world’s most dangerous black markets and using high tech tactics to document the link between carbon emissions and species extinction, R

ACING EXTINCTION reveals stunning, never-before seen images that truly change the way we see the world. This is an inspiring film that provokes genuine change.

Other films to watch out for this year are That Sugar Film, Caffeinated, Seeds of Time, Sour Grapes, Growing Local, The Market Gardener’s Toolkit, and Shuckers. The 2016 Festival also features quite a few live music acts including Dawna McLennan (harp) and Jessica Doerner 

(cello), jazz duo Clinton Swanson and Rob Fahie, and Argenta’s Rodman & Spring.
