Dial-it-up! Get your hands on the volume controls at The EcoCentric on Kootenay Coop Radio.

Join the EcoCentric team and help produce one of Canada’s longest-running environmental news radio programs. Put forward the important environmental news from our Kootenay community, our province, our country… and what the heck… it’s our one planet. Interview prominent Canadians from across the country!

Help promote the local environmental initiatives of the West Kootenay EcoSociety and other great local events.

The EcoCentric airs live Tuesdays at Noon and is rebroadcast Sundays at 9 am on Kootenay Coop Radio.

We’re looking for new energy! Volunteers who would like to help record segments, research environmental news, record interviews and even, when you’re ready, host your own hour of the show should apply today.

Producing just one hour of live ‘spoken-word’ radio can take anywhere from 3 hours to 23 hours. Generally it’s good to develop stories over a week, research contacts make the phone calls to set up interviews, and prepare some questions.

Start small, get behind the mike, see how you like it, and increase your involvement as you are comfortable.

Send you resume and letter to interest to Keith: ecocentric@kootenaycoopradio.com
