Happy Earth Day! We’ve compiled a list of events taking place around the West Kootenay region in celebration of Earth Day:

• Rossland Green Drinks, April 20 @ 5:00pm
  Join the West Kootenay EcoSociety and the Rossland Sustainability Commission for a casual gathering for anyone interested in sustainability issues.

• Know Your Watershed, April 21 @ 10:00am
  Join Friends of Kootenay Lake and Wildflower School as they restore wetlands at Duck Bay, Lakeside Park, Nelson. 

• LVR Secondary School, Climate Change Symposium, April 22 @ 9:30am
  Secondary school students are invited to learn about and discuss the climate crisis our region. The West Kootenay EcoSociety will be giving a workshop and speaking at the event.

• Hot & Bothered in the Kootenays: Water, Drought & Climate Change Forum, April 23 @ 9:00am
  Public participation and workshop day.

• Earth Day Market, April 23 @ 11:00am
  Rossland’s first outdoor market of the season.

• Council of all Beings, April 23 @ 10:00am
