Two weeks until Election Day and we’re expecting a giant voter turn out in the West Kootenay!

We’ve had conversations with thousands of voters, on door steps, in the street, in living rooms and on the phone. One thing is clear, people in West Kootenay want elected leaders to take real climate action and improve our democracy. At the EcoSociety, our teams are now shifting their focus to get the vote out for climate and democracy voters. We’ve had a lot of positive feedback from people who’ve talked to our volunteers or viewed our collection of voter information

We’re going to call over 5,000 people in the region, spanning the two new federal ridings of South Okanagan-West Kootenay and Kootenay-Columbia. We’re going to help them make their voting plans to get to the polls on or before Election Day to make sure that everyone we can find who cares about undemocratic pipelines in BC, carbon emissions, proportional representation and increased government spying votes in this important election.

That’s a lot of phone calls, in fact that’s between 16-20 hours of phoning each day. If you’ve ever wanted to work on a non-partisan election campaign to stand up for what you believe in, please join your local team. Are you in? Click here to sign up
