Gathering of Eagles – Convergence for a Pipeline and Tanker-Free BC

Members of the Kootenay Region Branch United Nations Association in Canada KRUNA and USCC Working Groups are inviting all to participate at their upcoming event entitled GATHERING OF EAGLES: Convergence for a Pipeline & Tanker Free BC, to be held June 2nd, 2013, at 1:00 pm, at the Brilliant Cultural Center, in Castlegar, B.C.

This will be a profoundly moving and timely event, framed to awaken and educate people to the potential impacts of the proposed Northern Gateway and Kinder Morgan pipelines and omnibus bills, Bill C-38 and Bill C-45. It will include informative Speakers, First Nations prayer and singers, power point visual presentations, information tables, Doukhobors and Friends for Peace prayer choir and a potential pot luck dinner.

The Doukhobors and Friends for Peace choir, directed by Elsie Campbell, extends a warm invitation to singers of all ages, to join the choir to sing 2 to 3 simple yet, uplifting prayer songs at this event. Practices will be held at the Brilliant Cultural Center at 1:00 pm March 17, April 14th, April 28th, May 5th and May 26th. Song sheets will be available at practices and songs will be posted below. The choir sends a special invitation to all youth to please join in. (Please note the date changes).

This event will be videotaped, and edited footage will be posted on Youtube. We expect a large attendance.
