Nelson Hydro’s Community Solar Garden project lets you take advantage of the cost savings from a single, large solar array. Putting solar panels on the roof of your home can be expensive and increases the cost of solar electricity.
Nelson Hydro is making it possible for its customers to invest in solar panels at their Bonnington facility and have the power delivered right to their homes. On-bill financing is also available through Nelson Hydro and the Nelson and District Credit Union.
The window for getting in on this deal is open from November 17 through December 17 the Pre-sale Event kicking off on Tuesday, November 17th at the Best Western. Doors open at 6:30pm, and the presentation will begin at 7pm, with a Q&A to follow. Pre-sales will begin at 6:30pm.
If you cannot make it on Tuesday night, you can send someone in your place with your completed documents and payment, or you can drop by City Hall until December 17th, 2015 or while supplies last. If alternate options are required, please contact Carmen Procter at Nelson Hydro at 250 509 2021.
At the kick-off event, there will be posters with the conceptual layout of the solar array, and some graphs/charts that help to explain the Return on Investment/Paybacks and other estimates and projections with regards to solar investment credits.
