West Kootenay EcoSociety is very excited to welcome two new staff members to our growing team!

Montana Burgess is a passionate community organizer with experience working with the Dogwood Initiative, Climate Action Network, and with the West Kootenay EcoSociety Board of Directors. Montana has been a great asset to our community and we are very fortunate to have her as part of our team. Montana starts work with us on Earth Day, April 22.

Samantha James has demonstrated her passion for engaging people throughout the region on ecosystem health and climate change as a volunteer for West Kootenay EcoSociety. Sam has already started work organizing Earth Day events in Nelson and Rossland, and she will be our point person in responding to opportunities and threats in the Rossland area as our community engagement program gets underway.

We’re all very excited to have two new team members, and we know that this added capacity thanks to Columbia Basin Trust and Mountain Equipment Co-op will make a huge difference in our work going forward.
